-Cavalier, Antigua's Rum-
Out of a colonial past and through a weathered and neglected first half of the 20th century Antigua has found its footings. With a Fair and free democracy and general prosperity we feel optimistic for what is in store. T oday’s Antigua is a far cry from its colonial beginnings as purely agricultural base. Through-out its existence Antiguans have been forced to innovate to stay alive on an arid sundrenched Island with few natural resources. Its greatest move was to be one of the first in the Caribbean to tap the emerging tourism market that was made possible by the jet age. Today Tourism is Antigua’s mainstay and greatest sense of pride, the feeling we get knowing that people from all over the world want to come visit Little Antigua or L.A. as we sometime call it. In this way we make use of our most abundant resources; sun and sand. However despite being a near pure service economy has not deadened the sense of industry in some Antiguans. And whether it is to provide Antiguans with a staple of our diet, or a quality roof over head or a, Drink to celebrate the little and big moments alike, we salute them. Those who strive to diversify our economy and work to establish a culture of manufacturing in Antigua will blaze a trail for generations to follow. In this section we salute our captains of industry whatever their contributions may be we are proud to call them Antiguan Products
