Dans Bar at Sunset

We said this was just the vacation we wanted! We've been freinds for7 years and making this vacation happen has been on out minds for at least five of those years. What we didn't want was a cookie cutter lie on the beach all inclusive vacation. We wanted to feel safe enough to venture out and find the Caribbean we dream of at home.

We found Antigua online and it seemed to have just that right mix of Caribbean meets new world. It has great beaches and great people and a way of life that leaves one fantasizing about what it would be like to chuck it all and live slow. So we rented a car locally through our hotels concierge, it was all very simple a few forms and temporary local liscence issued on the spot, and once we were used to traffic on the left we were off and no looking back.

Phone Home

Our many days out led us down many different paths. We left our hotel with little more than a destination and inevitably getting sidetracked along the way. This happened on every trip, one day to the Historic English Harbour left us lying on Pigeon Beach where we heard about the Shirley heights Parties on Sundays. But Sunday we got lost and ended up having the most incredible late lunch at "Mama Pasta."

This kept on much the same all week with memorable Stops for Burgers with Smiling Harry at Half Moon Bay, and an incredible day out with Migeul on his own island beach Bar.
